Description
GT heat alarms are a high quality heat detector with excellent after sales customer support. They are designed to activate when the temperature reaches 54ºC – 65ºC in a room. Heat alarms can be used as supplementary devices added to an existing interconnected photoelectric smoke alarm network. Heat alarms are more suitable for locations which are susceptible to frequent nuisance alarms, such as kitchens (smoke from cooking), garages (car exhaust fumes) or workshops (dust).

floor tiles removed. I found the tutorial on the website on how to turn them off then rang and spoke directly to Christian. He gave me some more tips on clearing out the alarms. Long story short one was too full of dust. I was totally prepared to pay for a replacement but Christian sent out a new alarm free of charge. Very impressed with the assistance and very grateful for the free replacement. Can't recommend this product and this company enough!!

At ZEN Smoke Alarms, we aim to get your order to you quickly, safely, and with full transparency. All orders are shipped from within Australia (Brisbane - ZEN Smoke Alarms, Sunshine Coast - GT Smoke Alarms) and are packed with care to ensure your smoke alarms arrive in perfect condition.
Order Processing Times
- Orders placed before 12 pm AEST are typically dispatched the same business day.
- Orders placed after 12 pm, on weekends, or public holidays are typically dispatched on the next business day.
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed and another when it has been shipped.
Shipping Options
ZEN Smoke Alarms partners with Australia Post to provide reliable delivery nationwide. We offer:
Standard Shipping (Australia-Wide)
- Estimated delivery: 2–5 business days depending on location.
- Regional or remote areas may take slightly longer.
Express Shipping (Optional Upgrade)
- Estimated delivery: 1–2 business days within major metro areas.
Standard shipping is FREE for all ZEN bundle pack orders (5-packs and above).
Tracking Your Order
All orders include tracking.
Once your parcel has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link from Australia Post where you can follow your delivery in real time.
Missed Deliveries
Orders are sent with a signature required on delivery. If you are not home at time of delivery, Australia Post will contact you to make alternative collection arrangements from your nearest Post Office. Please follow the instructions provided in your tracking updates.

Warranty & Returns
Warranty
ZEN Smoke Alarms are manufactured under strict quality systems and individually tested before dispatch. We provide a non-transferable 2-year limited warranty to the original purchaser covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.
This warranty does not cover:
- Incorrect installation or use not following our instructions
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect (including lack of cleaning), modification, or unauthorised repair
- Damage from pests, power surges, moisture, paint, dust ingress or physical impact
- Expired products, end-of-life alerts, or batteries reaching normal depletion
- Products that have been opened, tampered with, or improperly stored.
To make a warranty claim, you must provide:
- A copy of your original ZEN Smoke Alarms order confirmation or sales receipt
ZEN Smoke Alarms may choose to repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion.
Returns Policy (Change of Mind)
We want you to feel confident when purchasing ZEN Smoke Alarms. If you change your mind or are not satisfied with your order, you may return it within 30 days of delivery.
Before returning any items, please email hello@zensmokealarms.com.au
We will then provide you with the appropriate returns postal address.
To qualify for a change-of-mind return:
- Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in original undamaged packaging
- All accessories, screws, manuals, and mounting plates must be included
- Products that have been installed, paired, activated, or marked cannot be returned.
Return Shipping
Return shipping is at the customer’s expense.
We recommend a trackable service, as customers are responsible for returned goods until they are received by ZEN Smoke Alarms.
Please include your name and order number clearly on the parcel.
Restocking Fee
A $14.95 restocking and handling fee applies to all approved change-of-mind returns.
This fee covers inspection, processing, and repackaging.
The restocking fee does not apply to returns relating to manufacturing defects or warranty-approved issues.
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, ZEN Smoke Alarms will process a refund for the product purchase price, minus the $14.95 restocking fee, within 2 business days.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
If an item is returned used, damaged, or missing components, ZEN Smoke Alarms may refuse the refund or apply a partial refund at our discretion.
Incorrect, Faulty, or Damaged Items
If you receive an incorrect item or your order arrives damaged, please contact us at
