Warranty

ZEN Smoke Alarms are manufactured under strict quality systems and individually tested before dispatch. We provide a non-transferable 2-year limited warranty to the original purchaser covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect installation or use not following our instructions
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect (including lack of cleaning), modification, or unauthorised repair
  • Damage from pests, power surges, moisture, paint, dust ingress or physical impact
  • Expired products, end-of-life alerts, or batteries reaching normal depletion
  • Products that have been opened, tampered with, or improperly stored.

 

To make a warranty claim, you must provide:

  • A copy of your original ZEN Smoke Alarms order confirmation or sales receipt

ZEN Smoke Alarms may choose to repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion.

 

Returns Policy (Change of Mind)

We want you to feel confident when purchasing  ZEN Smoke Alarms. If you change your mind or are not satisfied with your order, you may return it within 30 days of delivery.

Before returning any items, please email hello@zensmokealarms.com.au
We will then provide you with the appropriate returns postal address.

 

To qualify for a change-of-mind return:

  • Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in original undamaged packaging
  • All accessories, screws, manuals, and mounting plates must be included
  • Products that have been installed, paired, activated, or marked cannot be returned.

 

Return Shipping

Return shipping is at the customer’s expense.

We recommend a trackable service, as customers are responsible for returned goods until they are received by ZEN Smoke Alarms.

Please include your name and order number clearly on the parcel.

 

Restocking Fee

$14.95 restocking and handling fee applies to all approved change-of-mind returns.

This fee covers inspection, processing, and repackaging.

The restocking fee does not apply to returns relating to manufacturing defects or warranty-approved issues.

 

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, ZEN Smoke Alarms will process a refund for the product purchase price, minus the $14.95 restocking fee, within 2 business days.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

If an item is returned used, damaged, or missing components, ZEN Smoke Alarms may refuse the refund or apply a partial refund at our discretion.

 

Incorrect, Faulty, or Damaged Items

If you receive an incorrect item or your order arrives damaged, please contact us at
